The two main type of flat screen TV available these days are LCD and Plasma. Which is best? Why Plasma Might be Best: Plasma screens display darker blacks than LCD screens, because LCD cells are always backlit even when displaying black, whereas Plasma cells are not. LCD screens show a blurring effecting during fast motion scenes, due to a slight delay in individual cells turning off. This does not happen with Plasma screens. Why LCD Might be Best: LCD screens do not suffer from screen burn like Plasma screens do. This happens when a single image is displayed on the screen for too long.
